Reuters Financial Social Network: New Definition for Monetizing

Reuters announced yesterday that it was staring a financial social network sometime later in the year targeting brokers, traders, fund managers and analysts….they will have analysts’ research and investment models as shared content instead of videos and photos according to Tom Glocer at Reuters.

Pete Cashmore at Mashable says they are targeting their 700,000 Subscibers which should get them off to s a more solid start than their foray into Second Life.

Niched social networks of this kind make a lot of sense, especially if the content being shared is valuable to the niche.
