Marketing to Teens? Don’t Miss YPulse Mashup 2007 Conference

by Marianne Richmond on May 4, 2007

Anastasia Goodstein, YPulse founder, who not only has her finger on the pulse of Generation Y but shares her insights daily on her blog, has put together the coolest sounding conference ever mashed up, Mashup 2007.

Henry Jenkins, Director of the MIT Media Comparative Media Studies Program and author of Convergence Culture and Dana Boyd, youth culture expert and Graduate Student Fellow at USC Annenberg Center are doing a keynote conversation which I am sure will be awesome.

Other speakers include Zadi Diaz, new media producer of the Jet Set Show , Amanda Lenhart , Senior Research Specialist from Pew Internet and American Life Project, Peter Van Stolk, CEO of Jones Soda and many many others. Check out the alphabetical listing here. Sessions are here. It’s an extraordinary lineup!

If you market to youth and want to really understand all those wires and crack the code, this conference is a must. Judging from the thought and planning that went into this, the agenda, and the speakers you will gain insight to marketing in the digital age period.

As Anastasia notes in the first Mashup 2007 blog post, "I think it’s important to note in the first post on the official 2007 Mashup website that this event was born out of almost three years of blogging and building a diverse community of media and marketing professionals who all have something in common: an empathy for youth and a passion for reaching them in an authentic way — whether that’s through a marketing campaign, editorial content, a website or other technology product or face to face."

YPulse Mashup 2007 is June 16-17 in San Francisco.
