Jeff Jarvis pronounced it brilliant, damn brilliant on his Facebook link. The Clinton campaign uses a Sopranos inspired, heavily produced video to announce the winning song, as selected by the Campaign Song Contest. The video stars Senator Clinton, Bill Clinton, a jukebox, a diner, parallel parking, and a bowl of carrots.
The song? Well, you need to go to the candidate’s site to find out. The winner is You and I by Celine Dion. Bill was rooting for Smash Mouth. Personally, I am looking forward to the Daily Show’s vote.
OK, check out the video….what do you think? I do agree with Jeff Jarvis….it’s brilliant. Brilliant in that it will generate lots of traffic and lots of buzz. And that, not the Hokey Pokey, is what its all about. Did I say, hokey?

I’m one who laments the loss of substance in our political discourse, so the video does nothing for me. I can understand why people like it, but we ought to be electing statesmen, not celebrities.
Agree…I don’t even think the American Bandstand song contest is necessary.
